Bridge Meadows develops and sustains supportive intergenerational neighborhoods for families of children formerly in foster care, promoting permanency, community, and caring relationships while offering safety and meaningful purpose to the daily lives of low-to-moderate-income older adults.
Bottom Line for Portland
Bridge Meadows serves 52 former foster youth, 19 parents (mostly single women), and 63 elders. Our relationship-based programs built to increase resilience, and health and well-being have adapted swiftly to prioritize the health and safety of all three populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the support families find at Bridge Meadows, 90% of our youth have remained with the same caregiver, achieving permanency and stability in home and family.
“Bridge Meadows has been a blessing for our family. I can look toward my grandkids’ future because of this community where the girls are safe and we have a home with so much love around us.” —Reba, North Portland
