Chamber Music Northwest

To inspire listeners through concerts celebrating the diversity of chamber music performed by high-caliber artists and renowned music educators. CMNW shares master classes, instrument petting zoos, family concerts and more with the next generation in our community.

Bottom Line for Portland

Chamber Music Northwest offers more than 100 performances a year, including more than 50 summer festival concerts and events; 16 fall, winter and spring concerts; and more than 50 educational and outreach events. It serves more than 30,000 annually, including 10,000 youth—plus 70,000 via radio broadcasts.

“CMNW generously provides tickets not only for students and their families…but for…teachers. It's satisfying to apply knowledge gained in lessons to a live listening experience. It's meaningful to sit next to my student and say, ‘Is that cuckoo a major third or minor third?’...Inspiring, personal and fun!”

—Amy Vanacore, music teacher
