College Possible

To make college admission and success possible for low-income students through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support. College Possible is a proven, research-based program founded in 2000 and launched in Portland in 2012 designed to ensure high school completion and post-secondary success.

Bottom Line for Portland

During the 2016-17 school year, 268 high school juniors increased their ACT scores by 25 percent. Additionally, 202 seniors sent more than 1,192 college applications. Ninety-seven percent earned admission to college and earned more than $1.6 million in scholarships.

"My College Possible coach taught me how to walk into an admissions office and advocate for myself—she always encouraged me to call or email them myself. In College Possible, you always have support, but you are your own advocate." —Alison, 2017 David Douglas High School graduate, attending Warner Pacific College this fall.
