The Dougy Center


To provide support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults and their families grieving a death can share their experiences. The Dougy Center provides support and training to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief.

In the past year, the Dougy Center provided training and interventional community outreach to 3,808 community members. It had 17,432 downloads of its “Dear Dougy” podcasts; answered 17,196 phone calls requesting information or responding to crisis, referrals and intake requests; and had 1,906 people receive grief support services.

$50 provides one week's art supplies for 125 children, or resources and materials for five families after the death of a loved one.
