The Freshwater Trust

The Freshwater Trust is a group of bold problem solvers designing and implementing data-driven solutions that protect and restore freshwater in the Pacific Northwest.

Bottom Line for Portland

Last year, the Freshwater Trust restored 15,000 feet of stream, installed 12,150 trees and plants, prevented 274,000 pounds of phosphorus, sediment and nitrogen from entering rivers, and kept more than 100 million gallons of water in rivers that needed it. It is the second-largest conservation group in Oregon.

“I can’t think of a group with a more far-reaching strategy and more creative tactics for executing that strategy.” —Bill Hatcher, CEO of A to Z Wineworks
