Friends of Noise

Friends of Noise produces all-ages concerts and provides focused arts education and youth leadership opportunities. The organization is a collaborative effort between young people who are passionate about music and adult mentors who work in the arts and education.

Bottom Line for Portland

Since 2016, Friends of Noise has brought live music to every quadrant of the city, creating events where local musicians—and especially youth musicians—have performed for a cumulative total of nearly 1,000 Portlanders of all ages, across more than nine events.

"It's crazy to me that Portland doesn't have a proper all-ages space…it creates community, makes better musicians and fosters a more interesting music scene. Everyone in our music community should feel a responsibility to help make this space a reality."
