To engage readers, support writers and inspire the next generation with great literature. With a 32-year history of building community around literature, Literary Arts offers diverse programming that serves Oregon’s readers and writers of all ages and across all demographics.
Bottom Line for Portland
Over the past year, Literary Arts served more than 10,000 readers through its live events. It hired more than 70 writers to teach in the community and granted more than $40,000 to writers and publishers. Through residencies, workshops and its annual poetry slam, Literary Arts served more than 4,000 students.
