To foster healing and resilience in vulnerable and marginalized communities through trauma-informed yoga.

Bottom Line for Portland

Living Yoga provides trauma-informed yoga to 660 youth and adults every month in correctional facilities, drug treatment centers and mental/behavioral health programs. Yoga and mindfulness help to heal students affected by addiction, poverty, incarceration, homelessness, abuse and other trauma.

“Living Yoga has helped me in so many ways: reducing stress, anxiety and frustration, and also allowing me to take the time to truly look within. This is truly a life-changing choice that we have available to us here.” —Young male student from Columbia River Correctional Institute
