Oregon Food Bank

To eliminate hunger and its root causes…because no one should be hungry.

Bottom Line for Portland

Oregon Food Bank takes a holistic approach to ending hunger by providing food, education and hope. Each month it distributes 1.9 million pounds of food in the metro area. Last year, 1,227 people gained gardening and cooking skills. Additionally, 1,150 people contacted their lawmakers about issues of poverty and hunger.

“I love that I can actually go and pick out what I need at the food pantry. There is something about picking foods I know we will use that feels like they’re treating me as a person.” —Debi
