Helping people transition from homelessness to housing.
Bottom Line for Portland
Transition Projects operates 12 metro-area locations, enabling our team of over 300 to assist 10,000 people annually through programs designed to help people survive the streets, find housing, and retain their housing. Each year, more than 1,000 formerly homeless people find safe, affordable housing in the four-county area with our support. As the largest provider of shelter services in Oregon, we shelter 800 people each night, including women, men and couples. Our Resource Center serves 400 to 500 unique individuals daily, 365 days a year, with services ranging from hygiene and medical support to shelter and housing assistance.
Tandem Property Management will match the first $15,000 in donations to Transition Projects.
Artist Kirk deFord is challenging supporters to double their impact by providing a match of $5,000 once Transition Projects meets its first match of $15,000.
Columbia Sportswear Employee Store will provide a shopping pass for you and four guests when you donate $100 or more to Transition Projects.
“Transition Projects was the thing that brought me back. Without Jean’s Place [women’s shelter] providing me the support I needed, I would’ve given up on myself. I know that without Transition Projects I would not be here.” —Jennifer, former participant, current board member, activist and photographer
