Transition Projects

Transition Projects delivers life-saving and life-changing assistance to some of Portland’s most vulnerable residents as they transition from homelessness to housing.

Bottom Line for Portland

TP helps more than 1,000 people move from homelessness into permanent housing each year; it shelters more than 700 women, men, veterans and people with disabilities each night; and it helps more than 500 people meet their basic survival needs in its Day Center every day.

“All of your staff has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, fed, sheltered, clothed and showered, and allowed me to get a good night's sleep. You have helped with all my needs to put my life back together."  —2017 Transition Projects shelter participant
