Bottom Line for Portland
During COVID, we shifted to meet our community's needs. Since March, we secured 452 jobs and workers earned an average of $18.50 per hour. We distributed 550 food boxes and provided more than 4,500 lunches. Our community donated $51,829 in direct relief for workers. Voz was part of a statewide coalition effort to secure and distribute $10 million from the state through the Oregon Worker Relief Fund. Our bottom line is a commitment to our community.
“I see Voz as a base where we can see ourselves as a community, not as individuals. The more united we are, the stronger we become. At Voz, I see that it is possible to achieve a place where we can be united. As I always say: Nothing is impossible.” —Eligio
