To conserve the Westwind site on the Oregon coast in perpetuity; foster life-changing outdoor experiences for all children, families and groups; and promote environmental stewardship as a basis for sustainable living.

Bottom Line for Portland

In 2017, Camp Westwind welcomed more than 5,000 individuals to its shores to promote stewardship and life-changing outdoor experiences in a safe, nurturing environment, regardless of ability to pay. This summer, Westwind provided 283 new and returning campers with financial aid totaling more than $130,000.

“Westwind as a place has given me a profound appreciation of the magic and importance of spending time outdoors in an undeveloped and natural place. Westwind as a program…has given me an understanding of how to be part of a community that accepts and celebrates everyone equally.” —Julie McMurchie, 1998-2016 camper, parent, volunteer
