Zenger Farm

Zenger Farm is a working urban farm that models, promotes and educates on sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, community development and access to good food for all.

Bottom Line for Portland

Last year, 3,561 neighbors attended cooking workshops, 1,070 students received hands-on science instruction, 166 families experiencing food insecurity were provided with vegetables for 23 weeks, and the farm itself welcomed more than 12,000 visitors.

“The Zenger program has really changed my family’s health and their lives. Before the veggie prescription program, we didn’t often find fresh vegetables. I love the farm—they have opened the door to a better tomorrow for my children and their health.” —Paula Hernandez, program participant
