Adelante Mujeres

BIPOC-Led Organization

Adelante Mujeres provides holistic education and empowerment opportunities to Latine women and their families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community. We do this by breaking down barriers.

Bottom Line for Portland

Adelante Mujeres means ‘Women Rise Up’ and we are a grassroots organization run by and for the Latine community. We partner with more than 13,000 people per year, building Latine leadership through creative, innovative programming in education, entrepreneurship, health and leadership training. Graduates of our programs become civic leaders, immigrant rights activists, youth leaders, entrepreneurs, community health workers, sustainable farmers, and much more. Together, we can empower even more Latinas to lead in 2023!

“For me, the Chicas program was the reassurance that I needed to confidently pursue my dream. It made college a realistic achievement, contributed to my confidence as a Latina woman and was my guiding hand outside of home. I'm extremely confident that this program will continue to flourish and help give young Latinas the hope to pursue their dreams fearlessly.” – Senior Graduate

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Adelante Mujeres, we view racial equity as breaking down the barriers for communities of color to live a dignified life. We actively support efforts to dismantle racial and structural inequities that hinder the opportunities for communities of color to achieve in life. We must support and be in solidarity with children, families, and communities of all backgrounds to strive for a just society.
