Anthony's Circle

Mission

Anthony’s Circle secures funding and pairs school-based programming with support from community partners.  Through this effort, we’re working toward a 75% high school graduation rate for foster youth.  A diploma is a pivotal step that empowers them to fully participate in adult life and helps break cycles of poverty and exclusion.

Bottom Line for Portland

Of the more than 8,640 foster youth in Oregon, only 42% graduate from high school. By the time they age out of the system, 60% are homeless, uneducated, incarcerated, or reliant on welfare, and 70% are unemployed.

Founded in 2024, Anthony’s Circle places Educational Navigators in middle and high schools across the state. These Navigators guide and support foster youth through academics, extracurricular activities, and consistent life skills coaching.

Through this work—and partnerships with ODHS, local schools, and foster parents—we help young people grow into healthy, productive adults and future community leaders, creating a consistent circle of care.
