Blanchet House & Farm

Blanchet House & Farm supports people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity by offering free hot meals, clothing, toiletries, transitional housing, recovery, and community.

Bottom Line for Portland

Blanchet House & Farm gets life-saving aid to our neighbors living on the margins and provides pathways out of homelessness and hunger. Approximately 200 people a year find support to secure permanent housing, sobriety, and employment after participating through our transitional housing programs at Blanchet House in Old Town and our rural recovery program in Carlton, Blanchet Farm. Thousands more find warmth, nourishment, and community through our free meal program and accompanying clothing and essentials closets. Treating people with dignity and compassion are central to our work.

“Blanchet House saved my life,” John, a former resident of our housing program, shares. “I was at the lowest point in my life when I walked through the doors…They offered me a lifeline and a chance to rebuild my life. The community at Blanchet House has become my family, we share meals, stories, and support. It makes me feel like I belong, like I’m not alone in this journey.”

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Blanchet House & Farm, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of who we are. We strive to foster belonging and empowerment while serving aid to our diverse community. We listen to learn and facilitate a culture where diversity and inclusivity are valued and celebrated.
