Mission

Blanchet House of Hospitality supports people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity by offering free hot meals, clothing, toiletries, transitional housing, recovery, shelter, and community. 

Bottom Line

Blanchet House offers life-saving aid to people living on the margins and creates pathways out of homelessness and hunger. 

Each year, more than 200 individuals gain the support they need to secure stable housing, sobriety, and employment through our transitional housing program in Old Town and our rural recovery program, Blanchet Farm, in Carlton. Bethanie’s Room opened in February this year, a 75-bed overnight shelter for women and gender expansive people seeking safe and restful sleep. Thousands more find warmth, nourishment, and community through our free café meals and our clothing and essentials closets. Treating every person with dignity and compassion is at the heart of all we do.

Oregon Humane Society creates a more humane society statewide by facilitating animal adoption, care, and education, partnering with Blanchet House to provide free vaccinations, consultations, and pet-care resources at our semi-annual Vet Clinic Pop-Ups for our Meal Guests and their furry friends.

Go the Distance is a Portland-based nonprofit that promotes recovery through fitness, community, and compassion. Go The Distance advocates for sobriety through fitness and unity.  

Sunnyside Shower Project is a volunteer-powered mutual aid project rooted in care, connection, and respect for our unhoused and housing-insecure neighbors in Southeast Portland. Through free showers, hygiene supplies, clean clothing, laundry access, and connections to supportive resources, we meet immediate needs while honoring each person’s dignity and humanity.

Portland Center Stage is the largest theater company in Portland, Oregon, with a mission to create transcendent theatrical experiences and community programs that break down the barriers separating people.

Portland Urban Beekeepers is a nonprofit organization of beekeepers that provides community, advocacy, and education for those interested in raising honeybees and supporting their presence in the environment.

Farmers Ending Hunger is an Oregon nonprofit working to end hunger and food insecurity by partnering with local farmers, ranchers, and food processors to bring high-quality, local food to food-insecure communities.
