Cascadia Wild

Mission

Our mission is to connect people with the natural world, combining modern ecology with ancient practices of living with the earth.

Bottom Line for Portland

By donating to Cascadia Wild, you support the Wolverine Tracking Project, which helps protect rare carnivores on Mt. Hood. Our project has yielded remarkable results - finding first evidence in the area of multiple threatened species and providing a wealth of important data for the development of conservation strategies.   Equally important, your contribution enables more volunteers from the Portland area to engage with nature in a meaningful way.  Research has shown that this type of engagement improves life satisfaction and vitality and promotes pro-environment attitudes.  In these stressful times, this makes Portland and the world as a whole a better place to live.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Access to wilderness should not be limited by privilege. We facilitate outdoor engagement across all demographics, irrespective of ethnicity, race, gender, sexual identity, age or socio-economic status.  We have a program to assist low-income participation and actively engage with underserved groups.

Incentives

The first 25 donors will receive a Cascadia Wild sticker!

Partner(s)

We are cross-promoting with the Columbia Slough Watershed Council, which helps protect a vital natural resource right here in Portland.

The National Forest Foundation is a great organization that supports recreation and conservation in our national forests. They are supporting us with operating expenses for our programs.
