The groundbreaking Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) studies showed that that the impacts child abuse/neglect often includes risky behaviors, chronic health conditions, mental health issues, substance use, low academic achievement, incarceration, limited life potential, and even early death. This not only is devastating for the child, but also impacts the well-being of the whole community. When someone donates to Children’s Center, they are contributing to changing the trajectory of a child’s life; helping them achieve healthy, productive futures and giving them the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their community.
