College Possible makes college admission and success possible for students from low-income backgrounds through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support.

Bottom Line

Since 2012, we’ve served 3,612 Oregon students from low-income and first-generation backgrounds, and the result is striking: College Possible students graduate at double the rate of their peers from similar backgrounds.

Why We Need Your Support

  • Over a lifetime, bachelor’s degree holders earn $1.5 million more than people with only a high school diploma. Yet, that opportunity is still out of reach for many students in our state.

• Oregon ranks 42nd nationally, with only 18% of students from low-income backgrounds enrolling in a post-secondary education after high school.

• Oregon needs more college graduates. Each year, the number of job openings requiring higher education exceeds the number of college graduates by approximately 26,000. Closing this gap is essential to our state's workforce, communities, and economic future. (Oregon Journalism Project 2026)
