Crag Law Center
Mission
Our mission is to balance the scales of justice by giving communities the power of the law to secure a thriving, just environment.
Bottom Line
Let’s be honest: things are pretty messed up right now. Powerful corporations and government agencies have money, influence, and teams of lawyers. Communities fighting for their homes, health, environment, and future deserve lawyers in their corner, too.
For 25 years, Crag has put the power of the law in the hands of communities taking on some of Oregon’s toughest environmental and justice challenges. Today, we’re challenging data centers, fighting for energy justice, protecting endangered species and ecosystems, supporting new environmental justice laws, challenging an ICE detention center on the Oregon Coast, and taking on the issues our communities tell us matter most. The fights are uphill. We fight anyway—and we’re winning.
Quote
“Crag’s lawyers understand that legal wins often aren’t enough. People need to be engaged and feel a part of the solution. Crag builds trust and meaningful relationships with clients and partners like us.”
— Nakisha Nathan, Co-Executive Director of Neighbors for Clean Air
