Do Good Multnomah

Do Good Multnomah supports Veteran-centered housing communities that inspire dignity, sustainability, and purpose.

Bottom Line for Portland

We work with Veterans who have no safe place to live and sleep. On any given night, hundreds of veterans find themselves houseless on the streets of Portland. Do Good Multnomah is determined to change that. We emphasize relationship-building, one-on-one engagement, supportive services, and direct community participation to do our part to help end houselessness in Portland, Oregon.

"Living at Do Good’s motel shelter is life changing. I get reminded I’m a human being here. Sometimes you forget what that was like. Especially when you give up.” Jeff, U.S. Navy Veteran

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are mindful that Do Good serves a community that is often relegated to the margins of society. The tenets of justice and equity must be at the core of creating dignified, supportive communities and we aim to include these principles in every aspect of our work. Our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (IDEA) team recognizes the larger systems of oppression and discrimination that further marginalizes and harms BIPOC and LGBTQ+ staff and participants. Therefore, the IDEA team was created to ensure that Do Good is an anti-racist and inclusive place to work, and makes sure that these principles extend to our participants
