Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors (ECO)

Mission

ECO inspires students to care for nature and their local communities through hands-on science education and climate action.

Bottom Line for Portland

For 20 years, ECO has provided hands-on ecology and climate action education, empowering over 42,000 students and 1,200 educators. With programs rooted in environmental justice, ECO focuses on reaching underserved communities and equipping the next generation to build resilience and steward the natural world. By bringing classrooms outdoors, ECO fosters a love for nature and builds stronger, more connected communities across the Portland Metro area.
