EBA's mission is to make a lasting impact on the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through inclusive group exercise.
Bottom Line for Portland
Every Body Athletics (EBA) exists to curb the physical and social regression that often occurs in individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in adulthood. Each class is inclusive, and involves a 1:1-2 ratio of “teammates” without disabilities who support and work out alongside EBA athletes. EBA's robust volunteer program, comprised largely of high school and college students from 15 local schools, fosters authentic inclusive relationships and creates new disability advocates in the community.
