Strengthen the health and well-being of Latine families and communities in Oregon.

At Familias en Acción (Familias), our Promise is to be Present, to Engage, and to be Relentless in the pursuit of health equity. We support Latine communities to not only survive, but thrive through our culturally specific health promotion programs. We build families’ resilience around climate change, offer nutrition and food advocacy resources, teach about sexual health and HIV prevention, bridge gaps in care through healthcare navigation, and provide workforce development for Latine Community Health Workers.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Familias, we are dedicated to reducing the exclusion of underrepresented and marginalized Latine communities from economic, health, and social equity. At a systems level, we advocate to promote equity, inclusion, and justice within Oregon’s healthcare delivery by supporting Spanish-speaking families to navigate the complex health system, providing workforce development opportunities to advance the economic stability of Community Health Workers, and offering culturally specific health education and training to eliminate barriers.

Project Access NOW partners with community to create equitable access to whole person care and social services and to advocate for systemic change.

Voz is a worker-led organization that empowers diverse day laborers, including domestic workers, and immigrants to improve their working conditions and protect civil rights through leadership development, organizing, education and economic opportunity.

Tacovore PDX proudly serves gluten-free cuisine and works with an array of farmers, ranchers, producers and vendors in the PNW.
