Familias en Acción's mission is to advance Latiné health and wellness through education, supportive services, and programs that uplift community wisdom and strength.

At Familias en Acción (Familias), we envision a future that values our culture in the pursuit of health justice. We support Latiné communities to not only survive, but thrive through our culturally specific health promotion programs. We build families’ resilience around climate change, offer nutrition and food advocacy resources, teach about sexual health and HIV prevention, bridge gaps in care through healthcare navigation, and provide workforce development for Latiné Community Health Workers.

Cumbia Corazón PDX hosts Cumbia class cycles each month, along with various Cumbia workshops, dance socials, and fundraisers for local organizations. Familias is partnering with Cumbia Corazón this holiday season to offer a fun dance and fundraising event in November. Stay tuned for more details!
