Our mission: Family Promise Metro East helps children and their families experiencing houselessness achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Our Vision: A community where all families have equitable access to housing and the chance to build a better future.

Bottom Line for Portland

We all know it, we need more shelter in Portland. Family Promise of Metro East mobilizes churches, businesses, volunteers, and community-based organizations to provide shelter, meals, and other support for homeless children and their families in the East Portland Metro area. We partner this volunteer energy with professional case management to help families get back into permanent housing. We are also ramping up our rent assistance programs to prevent evictions and avoid family homelessness before it starts.
