Harper’s Playground inspires vital communities by creating inviting playgrounds for people of all abilities.
Bottom Line for Portland
Help make Portland more inclusive! Donations to Harper's Playground go back into the Portland Metro area by building inclusive and accessible playgrounds in our community. Some already completed parks include Arbor Lodge Park, Couch Park, Gateway Discovery Park, Dawson Park, Anna & Abby's Yard and coming soon are Gabriel Park and Marshall Park!
“My child made friends with kids there in a way I have not seen at other playgrounds. She could get anywhere and to everything.” - Parent of child who uses wheels
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Harper’s Playground is committed to inclusion and equity; inviting, supporting and sustaining diverse play spaces for people of all ages and abilities, as well as fostering a diverse internal community, eg staff, board, volunteers. We define equity as: when all people have equal access to the same resources to reach potentially the same outcomes. We want all people to have access to play spaces; which includes equitable access to nature and community, ever regardful of all abilities, race, socioeconomic status, and any and all intersecting held identities.
