Historic Alberta House
Mission
Historic Alberta House elevates those who have struggled for many years to be heard. We seek to engage people within our community that have been disproportionately impacted by social, economic, and racial disparities and open the doors of this historic building for art, theatre, education, and community events, prioritizing BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant voices.
THIS HOUSE BELONGS TO US ALL.
Bottom Line for Portland
Every day, our federal government is destroying lives and suppressing the voices of the most vulnerable among us by whitewashing history, erasing Trans and non-binary folx from public view, and threatening members of our valuable immigrant community.
In these dark times, Historic Alberta House uplifts the stories of Black experiences and history and provides a place for marginalized people to create and share theatre, art, and community through free and discounted access to our event spaces.
Please join us in fighting for the right of ALL to exist in peace and safety.
