Imagine Black Futures

BIPOC-Led Organization

Imagine Black Futures helps our Black community imagine the alternatives we deserve and build our civic participation and leadership to achieve those alternatives.

Bottom Line for Portland

Donating to Imagine Black Futures helps keep the wheels of justice turning as we build Black civic participation and leadership in Oregon. Imagine Black Futures has stewarded our community toward real wins through activating new leaders, creating and dispersing robust educational campaigns, and advocating for the needs of Black Oregonians through connection, leadership development, civic education, and innovation.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Imagine Black Futures believes in centering folks who are most impacted within the Black community, specifically, queer, trans and GNC, femme, poor, disabled, working, and undocumented people. Our Black Queer Feminist lens is a political theory and practice developed out of Black feminist and LGBTQIA+ liberation movements. This praxis (thought + action) is a lens through which we better understand the conditions of all Black people -- highlighting what we must transform in order to liberate all oppressed people.  (adapted from BYP100).

All donors will gain access to our community mobile app, the Black Possibilities app. This app serves as your online community, connecting Black Oregonians to a safe space for building connections, fostering community, healing, advocating, and working together to dismantle anti-Black racism.

For a donation of $75, you will also receive an Imagine Black T-shirt.

For a donation of $250, you will receive an Imagine Black Hooded Windbreaker.

Your support means the world to us and helps advance our mission. Thank you for being part of our community!
