Insight Alliance
Mission
We ignite the rediscovery of our innate individual and collective resilience and potential by providing transformational programs for individuals, organizations, and our community.
Bottom Line for Portland
At the Insight Alliance, we break the cycle of incarceration by addressing root causes that trap vulnerable individuals in the system through insight-based courses in schools, correctional facilities, and the community. By empowering individuals to rediscover their innate strengths and well-being, we disrupt the school to prison pipeline and help keep them out of prison and on a path to a brighter future. Together, we aim to create a more just society where everyone thrives within inclusive and collaborative communities.
Quote
"Insight to Wellbeing has helped me to understand that I experience the world from the inside, not the outside. I started to judge myself less and realize that my feelings are a reflection of my thoughts. It has helped me to get out of my head quicker when I’m feeling low. It has helped me to mentor other youth on the unit I live on. Insight Alliance is kick ass. We should have this program offered to all facilities”. Ezequiel
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Insight Alliance actively promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by implementing culturally-responsive practices and hiring staff who reflect the diversity and lived experiences of the clients we serve. We provide comprehensive, inclusive services that address the intersectional needs of our participants, incorporating their voices in decision-making and program development. Through collaborations with culturally specific providers, ongoing staff training, and community outreach efforts, we ensure our programs effectively meet the unique challenges faced by diverse communities, particularly those disproportionately impacted by the criminal justice system.
