To transform and enrich the lives of performers and audiences through comedy. We work to eliminate the historic barriers that have kept folx from seeing and doing comedy, addressing the ongoing needs of our community and its diverse perspectives through dynamic shows, and community outreach events—creating equity across our organization and beyond while providing opportunities for performance, education, and laughter.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility have always taken center stage in Kickstand Comedy’s mission. We take seriously our goal of breaking down the barriers to seeing and performing comedy. This is evident in our programs, which include the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Comedy Program, in our history of presenting live performances that have American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for Deaf/Hard of Hearing audience members, and our pay-what-you-want prices available for every show.

Our business partner, Rad Pop PDX, is Portland's pop-up popcorn party serving hella good popcorn.
