Leaders Become Legends
Mentoring young adults through employment and wellness.
Bottom Line for Portland
Being a newer organization, funding is kinda hard to come by. This help will allow us to expand services and opportunities for clients to include more trainings and stability which is important in the community.
Helping young people facing different barriers overcome them and realize their own potential is the passion of our organization. Using lived experiences to reach clients and show them how to achieve positive results.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We mentor 10-15 people per calendar year providing the necessary resources and sponsorship to adequately address the education, workforce, health, and social needs of people, ages 14-30, who identify as Black, Latinx, and Native Americans.
The factors that unites the people we serve are different kinds of trauma from violence, to mental health struggles, to racialized trauma that manifests in the home or across generations. We seek to rebuild trust within and across communities by providing education around the experience of trauma, promoting healing and creating workforce opportunities. Our program helps people to see their own power and leadership potential.
