Mission

Love Our City provides reliable access to healthy and nutritious food for individuals and families facing food insecurity in NE Portland and beyond.

Bottom Line for Portland

Love Our City provides a weekly food box distribution to support individuals and families facing food insecurity. With a team of 50+ volunteers we pick up food daily from grocery stores and other partner agencies. This fresh food is then packed into boxes and distributed to over 600 families every month. Each food box contains approximately 3-4 days worth of food, with an estimated value of $150 per box. In total, we distribute 23,000 pounds of food each month to our local community. Love Our City, located in the Cully neighborhood, has been serving the community at this location for over 40 years.
