Momentum Alliance

New
BIPOC-Led Organization

Mission

To inspire young people to realize their power individually and collectively and to mentor future social justice leaders.

Bottom Line for Portland

In the face of increasing book bans, overcrowded classrooms, and rising discrimination, it is crucial to provide queer and trans youth of color with a safe and empowering space. At MA, we create nurturing learning environments that blend critical thinking, creative expression, and joy, focusing on leadership development and artistic exploration. Your support ensures our young people can thrive, resist, and lead with resilience and creativity.

Quote

“I’ve really enjoyed being able to learn from such a vast variety of different creatives that specialize in their own unique areas. From kayaking, hip hop choreography, clay sculpting, to reflecting on educational and interesting forms of media, I appreciate how much MA has helped me get out of my comfort zone in a way that has felt safe, accommodating, and well-paced!”
