To provide an educational setting tailored to the special needs of students who struggle to fulfill their potential in the traditional school environment.

From the moment a student walks through our doors we are committed to working alongside them as partners and advocates to help them find success in school and in life.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We work with students whose paths to success have been barred by systemic educational inequities and a lack of holistic services in traditional school environments. Our vision is to serve as a model for successful equitable education in Portland, eliminating educational disparities and the opportunity gaps experienced by students who have been chronically underserved. 

Incentives

For each of the first 100 donations to Mt. Scott Learning Center of $50 or more, Sackcloth & Ashes will donate a twin sized fleece blanket to Laurelwood Center shelter, operated by Transition Projects, and for each donation of $200 or more, Sackcloth & Ashes will also send each donor a blanket of their choice from the Sackcloth & Ashes website.

An anonymous donor will also match total donations dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000.

Partner(s)

We are grateful for our business partner, Sackcloth & Ashes, a mission-driven company that donates a blanket to a homeless shelter for each one purchased. Donations to Mt. Scott Learning Center through the Give!Guide campaign will help provide needed blankets for the Laurelwood Center homeless shelter located near our school in SE Portland. The shelter is operated by Transition Projects.
