Amplifying young voices and igniting self-discovery through music.
Bottom Line for Portland
A donation to My Voice Music empowers youth to find and share their voice through songwriting, recording, and performance. My Voice Music provides trauma-informed music mentorship programs to 1,000 youth each year through MVM Studios in East Portland and through programs with partner organizations serving youth experiencing grief, complex trauma, and crisis throughout the Portland metro-area. Every dollar you contribute helps MVM provide no-questions-asked sliding scale scholarships. About 50% of our programs are provided for free!

Thursday, Nov 13, 4-6pm: MVM Open House and Guitar Giveaway - Check out MVM Studios in East Portland at our Open House! Drop by anytime between 4–6 PM at 8911 SE Stark St. Enter a FREE guitar giveaway (ages 9–24) courtesy of Free Guitars for Kids. Enter the drawing at the door - multiple guitars will be given away! Celebrate Bloodworks NW’s Music’s in Our Blood donors who helped support their drive for 10,000 blood donations to save lives. This free event is open to all.
Sunday, Nov 16, 2-5pm: MVM Holiday Showcase sponsored by Audix at Polaris Hall - Celebrate the holidays with MVM students as they rock their hearts out showing off what they’ve been working on this year. My Voice Music is AMPLIFYING our annual showcase to include youth from our partner organizations, including p:ear who we run programs with throughout the year. Come watch some amazing performances, make new friends, and raise some funds to amplify youth voices in our community. Admission is a suggested $10 donation through the Give!Guide.
Thursday, Nov 20, 7-9pm: Ugly Sweater Bingo sponsored by Marmoset at Radio Room - Featuring 10 rounds of bingo hosted by Mo Phillips. All ages until 9PM. 3 Rounds for $10 or 10 Rounds for $25. $20 Bonus Round: Win 2 nights at Land's End at Cannon Beach! Marmoset will be matching up to $2,500 in entries and donations to MVM made through Give!Guide for the entire week of November 17–23!
Thursday, Dec 4, 12-10pm: Dine & Donate at Lazy Days Brewing in Beaverton - Dine out for two good causes! We are hosting our first ever event with Albertina Kerr who we've been running music programs with since MVM's founding in 2008. MVM and Albertina Kerr will have info tables there from 5-8pm so come say hi!
