Oregon Center for Public Policy
Mission
For 25 years, the Oregon Center for Public Policy has worked to build economic justice for all Oregonians through research, analysis, and advocacy. We are a trusted authority on the policy decisions that impact Oregonian’s lives.
We do this work because we are dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and prosperous future for everyone in our state. Over the last 40 years, the richest Oregonians have accumulated massive wealth, reaping the benefit of tax breaks and the labor of Oregon workers. Prosperity has not trickled down to the hard-working Oregonians who created it.
But we can fix the systems that have created these inequities. And we do just that by joining together with community-based partners, civic leaders, and people like you to change public policies — the rules that govern our economy — so that prosperity flows more broadly.
We need you by our side, and our goal is clear: inspire 200 donors between November 1 and December 31.
Together, we can advance economic security to empower every Oregonian to reach their full potential.
Bottom Line for Portland
Right now, Oregonians are being forced to fight on many fronts. Choices made at the federal level are gutting the institutions and services people rely on – cuts to food assistance and healthcare are being paid for with tax cuts mainly benefiting the wealthy and big corporations . OCPP is laser focused on how the administration’s actions impact Oregon’s economic well being and what Oregonians can do to fight back.
Together, we are building a better Oregon for everyone. When you join us, together we will fight:
- * To build an equitable tax system, one that doesn’t ask the most from those that have the least.
- * For worker power, expanding the right to organize and bargain for a better future.
- * To ensure that all of us have what we need by creating an income floor that no Oregonian will fall beneath.

Quote
"As a proud granddaughter of migrant workers, I cherish the simple yet profound lessons from my family's journey. We may have had little, but the safety nets in place ensured we never went without food. It's this foundation of support and resilience that I carry with me, fueling my commitment as an OCPP board member, advocating for policies that uplift all families and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive." – Angie Garcia, OCPP Board Member
