Oregon Center for Public Policy
Our mission is to use research and analysis to advance policies and practices that improve the economic and social opportunities of all Oregonians.
Bottom Line for Portland
We work to change public policies – the rules that govern our economy – so that economic prosperity is more broadly shared. We fight to dismantle the economic systems that result in economic inequality and disadvantage communities of color, advancing progressive, equitable public policies aimed at eliminating disparities and improving lives. As an economic policy think tank, we use analysis, communications, and advocacy to build economic justice for ALL Oregonians.
“The Oregon Center for Public Policy is an indispensable partner in the fight for economic and racial justice. They provide anti-racist policy solutions that become reality through research, advocacy, and community action." – Jenny Lee, Deputy Director, Coalition of Communities of Color
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We are an anti-racist organization, working to dismantle the inequitable economic systems that prevent communities of color from building economic security. We partner with community-based, culturally-specific organizations to ensure that those most affected by inequitable policies are leading the struggle for change. Our analysis explains how current tax and budget policies entrench and deepen racial disparities, and we propose anti-racist policy solutions geared to eliminate those disparities.
