POIC + RAHS

Mission
Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center + Rosemary Anderson High School (POIC + RAHS) is committed to the success of at-risk youth and adults, providing the highest quality services in education, mentoring, family outreach, employment training, and placement.
Bottom Line for Portland
POIC + RAHS knows that collectively we have the power to heal. A successful campaign means we can continue to work to support youth and adults dealing with gun violence, poverty, and family instability through education, career training, and culturally-specific wraparound programs, including mental health support and services for families.
A donation to POIC + RAHS allows us to focus on giving hope to and healing our community. From reintroducing houseless teens to the classroom, to pairing gang-affected students with meaningful career opportunities, to helping youth experiencing domestic violence find stability and hope through mentorship - POIC + RAHS helps youth and adults reimagine and rewrite their life stories.
Quote
“The support of POIC + RAHS is unlike any other program I’ve dealt with - they helped me get on my feet after I was locked up. They’ve become more like my family.” – POIC + RAHS Program Participant
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
POIC + RAHS is a minority-led nonprofit with more than 50% of Executive Leadership identifying as a person of color and over 65% of POIC + RAHS staff (up to 90% in some programs) identify as a person of color. The majority of those served identify as Black or African American. By hiring from the communities we serve, welcoming former students onto our board of directors, and checking in with participants and partners regularly, the voices of those we reach are included and amplified at every level of our organization.
