Portland Street Art Alliance

OCT Qualified
BIPOC-Led Organization

Advancing street art culture by empowering artists to activate the spaces where we live, work, and play.

Bottom Line for Portland

Since our founding, PSAA has managed over 200 street art projects, collaborating with hundreds of artists in the region, facilitating commissions resulting in over $650,000 paid to working artists. Street art is inherently democratic; providing access to artistic expression for the entire community, not just a privileged few who have access to museums, galleries, and private art collections. In everything we do, from murals to virtual learning sessions for students, PSAA aims to create strong visual, cultural, and economic impacts through public art.

PSAA provided me my first opportunity to paint a mural for the 2020 Viaduct Arts initiative, and I was excited to partner with them again this year on the Vernonia Mural Festival. Painting murals is a hard market to break into; PSAA taught me a lot about what it takes to produce large-scale outdoor work. Thanks to the murals I've done in partnership with PSAA, I have been able to venture out on my own, securing commissioned murals for several businesses in Portland. - Francisco Morales

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At PSAA, diversity, inclusion, and equity drive everything we do. Street art, by its nature, is an inclusive art form that celebrates, promotes, and reflects diverse cultures, heritages, and backgrounds. We strive to ensure that underrepresented artists get paid work opportunities and help facilitate the sharing of their stories, perspectives, and messages through bold public art projects.
