Portland YouthBuilders

Mission
PYB's mission is to support young people who are committed to changing their lives and becoming self-sufficient, contributing members of the workforce and community.
Bottom Line for Portland
PYB has helped thousands of young Portlanders over our 27 year history. Donations to PYB help over 200 young people and their families stop the progression of generational poverty every year. Our students emerge from PYB with a high school education, a significant reduction or elimination of personal barriers, and an excellent career path in construction or technology.
Quote
“I came to PYB expecting a diploma and to learn a trade. But I’m about to leave with so much more. What I’m taking away from this program is priceless." - PYB Graduate
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Communities are strengthened when diversity is honored. We have worked for equity within PYB for years, and there is so much more to do. We strive – as individuals and as an organization – to work toward dismantling systemic and institutional racism in our organization, in our personal interactions, in our decision-making, and beyond. Diversifying the workforce by creating important career opportunities for low-income, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC youth is foundational to our mission.
Incentives
Our incredible friends at Dregs Vodka have made a generous commitment to match the first $5,000 in donations to PYB through this year's Give!Guide. Additionally, the first 25 donors who give $200 or more to PYB will be invited to an exclusive cocktail party hosted by Dregs Vodka in January.
We are also excited to announce that Fortis Construction will match the first $10,000 in donations made to PYB through the Give!Guide.
Business Partner(s)
Thank you to our longtime partners Dregs Vodka and Fortis Construction for supporting PYB's Give!Guide campaign this year! We are also grateful to Steeplejack Brewing Co. for their generous partnership.
