Mission

Our Mission: To provide day shelter, resources, emotional support and community connections to women, children and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty. 

Our Vision: A community where everyone has safety, stability, love, health and home.

Bottom Line

Rose Haven is the only day shelter in downtown Portland dedicated to women, children, and people marginalized by their gender. Serving 120-150 guests a day, we address not only immediate needs for food, hygiene and shelter, but also meaningful resources for guests to address their long-term goals of housing, health, and stability.

Freeland Spirits, a women owned distillery in NW, has partnered with us many times over the years providing donations from drink specials and offering their event space for our use.

Sincere Studio is an inclusive community sewing studio in NE, focused on marginalized communities and sustainability/waste reduction, they have supported our guests by providing an onsite mending class and a Mend-A-Thon to repair guests’ clothing and fabric items.

The Library Foundation focuses on children facing the risk factors for low literacy as well as life-long learning by providing books to thousands annually.

Bradley Angle is an emergency shelter for people experiencing domestic violence, and often our guest populations overlap, we are so grateful to have their support.
