Salmonberry Trail Foundation
Mission
To build the 82-mile Salmonberry Trail, connecting us to our history, nature, and each other.
Bottom Line for Portland
The Salmonberry Trail Foundation will enhance connectivity across the Portland metro area, improving outdoor access and supporting local economies. By establishing a trail from the Willamette Valley to the Oregon Coast, we will provide safe, scenic routes for education, recreation, and transportation, benefiting community members and visitors.
Quote
“We’ve been doing the easy stuff for years and years and years; it’s so good to have us finally working on the tough stuff. It just feels great!”
- Mary McGuinnis, Rockaway Beach City Councilor
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Salmonberry Trail Foundation’s vision is to build a trail that strengthens our connections to each other and the natural world, inspiring unity and shared stewardship. We hold diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging as core values essential to fulfill this vision. We are committed to practicing our values through a continual process of growth and improvement. As we learn, we will continue to challenge ourselves to do better and evolve our practices.
