When Crystal lost her job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her children attended our Izzy’s Kids “Shop with a Cop” event, and she was introduced to the many other resources we offer. "That made a big change... knowing that I had an organization to count on. Having food delivered to my door weekly was a huge help to me and my kids, where I knew I had something coming each week at the door.” 

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Sunshine Division is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. These values are core to our mission of aiding those in need. We foster inclusivity, eliminate barriers and provide culturally sensitive assistance. Our journey to anti-racism continues through staff training, expanding multilingual services, seeking anti-racist care training, diversifying volunteers, tailoring culturally diverse food, and providing equitable access to our food through our food pantries and home-delivery program.

Incentives

Nov 1, Friday: The first donor will receive a $50 gift card to Escape Games PDX. 

Nov 6, Wednesday: The 10th donor will receive a Chuckanut Taproom Gift Bag, includes pint glasses, t-shirts, and more! 

Nov 13, Wednesday: The 25th person to donate will win a Blackstone Griddle. 

Nov 20, Wednesday: the 10th person to donate gets a Garnish shopping experience for one lucky donor. 

Nov 26, Tuesday: First 10 donors who are 35 & under, will receive a pass to Winter Wonderland. 

Dec 3, Tuesday: Greenbriar will match all donations up to $10,000; first 10 donors will receive a pass to Winter Wonderland. 

Dec 11, Wednesday: 10th will receive a tasting experience for two at Evoke Winery. 

Dec 18, Wednesday: Sysco will donate a box of food for each qualifying donation made today, up to a generous limit. 

Dec 30, Monday: The 10th donor will receive an Official NBA Autographed Trailblazer poster from the 23-24 season.

The Greenbriar Companies – A long-time supporter, The Greenbriar Companies is helping Sunshine Division fight hunger in Portland by matching up to $10,000 in donations on Giving Tuesday. 

Sysco – Sysco is partnering with Sunshine Division to donate food boxes for each qualifying donation made during our campaign, supporting our mission to provide meals to families in need. 

AnchorPointe Graphics – AnchorPointe Graphics supports our mission by providing discounted printing for all our Willamette Week Give!Guide marketing materials, and so much more throughout the year ensuring our message reaches the community. 

Fora Health – In partnership with Fora Health, we collaborate to amplify each other’s efforts in providing essential services and promoting well-being throughout the community. 

Central City Concern – We’re teaming up with Central City Concern to cross-promote our community impact, highlighting each other’s contributions to serving the community.
