Mission

Clackamas Service Center is an inclusive "one-stop" community center for individuals and families seeking food relief and resources for improved health, dignity, and stability.

Bottom Line

In Clackamas County, Clackamas Service Center is the largest provider of food aid, providing a vital lifeline for neighbors facing hunger and food insecurity. By sharing food with our visitors directly, and by partnering with over a dozen other food aid providers in the region, our impact reaches far beyond our own walls, into local schools, homes, and underserved rural areas like Canby and Estacada. 

Each month, over 17,000 people receive food from CSC. In 2025 we distributed more than 1.6 million pounds of food and we are on track to dramatically exceed that amount in 2026. Four years ago we distributed only 900,000 pounds of food. We provide hot lunches four days each week in addition to food boxes  

We are constantly challenged to maintain the level of support we provide as we see the need increase. Inflation, cuts to SNAP, cuts to Medicaid, and a steep rise in the cost of basic needs have pushed more people than ever to seek out our programs — and at the same time, our costs are rising and funding is shrinking. We are constantly being asked to do more with less.

Your donations to our Give!Guide campaign will help those who are struggling to get hunger relief, hope and dignity. As more and more people make choices between food, rent and medical care, Clackamas Service Center can provide some relief.

Clackamas Women's Services provides vital support for people experiencing domestic violence, including CSC's community members, and in turn, we share food and hygiene resources with CWS whenever possible.

Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington builds girls’ confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills.

Johnson Creek Watershed Council brings people together to restore salmon, wildlife, and watershed habitat.

Latino Founders helps Latino entrepreneurs learn, connect, and scale their businesses.

NAMI Clackamas provides free mental health education and support.

PDX Diaper Bank shares diapers with Clackamas Service Center and other organizations year-round, providing this crucial hygiene resource to families visiting CSC and in the greater Portland Metro area.

Project POOCH rehabilitates dogs and prepares them for adoption.

Reading Results tutors early-grade students to reach third grade reading benchmarks.

Respond to Racism educates and organizes communities to combat systemic racism.

Sincere Studio is offering free soft-goods sewing repairs to CSC donations with minor damage such as small tears or missing buttons at their November Mend-a-Thon, and we love their creative, community-building spirit.
