Our mission is to find a safe, loving home for every bird, and to provide education and support to our community.

Parrots and parakeets are almost as popular as cats and dogs, but about 85% of birds purchased are later rehomed or abandoned--often 7+ times! The Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon takes in and cares for parrots of all sizes, gives them a place to land while matching them with adopters, and equips current and prospective families with knowledge to help companion parrots thrive. We are the oldest nonprofit bird rescue in Oregon, and much of our work happens in the Portland metropolitan region (200+ intakes and 250+ adoptions within the past decade alone).
