Mission

Friends of Outdoor School’s purpose is to connect, support, and advocate for all of Oregon’s diverse students to learn at inclusive and accessible Outdoor School programs that contribute to educational development, inspire youth, promote personal growth, and embrace justice.

Bottom Line for Portland

A model of inclusion and engagement: at Outdoor School, kids apply classroom lessons in nature and an interconnected community. Friends of Outdoor School connects Oregonians of all ages, locations, and backgrounds unified in the belief that every Oregon student deserves Outdoor School’s life-affirming, transformational experience. Oregon kids need to learn about, explore, and connect to their shared land and each other at Outdoor School. Together, we are moving Outdoor School from a nice-to-have to every student’s right!

Incentives

The first 35 people to donate $100 will have their donation matched by the generous Elizabeth Wakeman Henderson Charitable Foundation.
