Sound Equine Options
Mission
Create positive, lasting change to ensure every horse is safe, healthy, and valued by caring for neglected, abused and at-risk equines, providing leadership, support and education to owners, the community and law enforcement.
Bottom Line for Portland
Donations provide our rescued horses with lifesaving care and allow our team to save horses suffering from neglect and abuse. Each horse in our care receives specialized veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and training to prepare them for a loving, permanent home.
In addition to rescue, Sound Equine Options is dedicated to making our community a safer place for all equines. Our organization is a leader in disaster planning, response, and evacuation of equines and other livestock. We offer community education and owner outreach and have plans to increase our offerings in the coming years.
Together, we can end equine suffering and create a brighter future for horses in our community.

Their ability to shelter, provide medical care, rehabilitation and re-homing to these most vulnerable animals is a testament to their commitment and expertise in the field of equine welfare.” Linda Fielder | Animal Cruelty Investigations Manager

Partner(s)
Creating positive, lasting change to ensure every horse is safe, healthy, and valued cannot happen without the help of longtime supporters like Foxridge Farm, who will match the first $2,500 in donations. Special thanks to this horse-loving organization for supporting our mission.
Partnering with and supporting other local nonprofits strengthens the community we all live in, and we are proud to partner with Stumptown Strays and Zeb's Wish Equine Sanctuary this year. Trot on over to their pages and see what they are all about.
