Catalyst Partnerships

Mission
Catalyst Partnerships builds hope, inspires faith, and nurtures community by bringing together useful resources and caring volunteers to meet the critical home repair needs of under-resourced people in our communities.
Bottom Line for Portland
Catalyst serves at-risk homeowners with no strings attached, giving them a “hand up” and enabling them to remain safely in their homes. Catalyst empowers ordinary volunteers to make a tangible difference in their community while learning and practicing valuable skills. Catalyst develops trusted partnerships with local organizations, businesses and government agencies who help us stretch our resources to reach more people.
Quote
“My experience of being a ‘service project’ was very humbling. First, the process of asking for help; then, being asked to open my home to the help. When they were doing all the projects, it was hard for me to step aside and let them do the work because I am single and normally do everything myself. As I watched them work, I felt overwhelmed with love; that all of these people really cared about me enough to come in and do this work.”
-Heather, Project Recipient then Project Volunteer
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Catalyst welcomes applicants and volunteers regardless of race, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation or any other factor that frequently causes division in our society.
