Mission

It is our mission at Clackamas Free Clinic – Volunteers in Medicine to serve the health needs of uninsured, low-income people in Clackamas County by providing free and inclusive medical care through dedicated medical and community volunteers.

Increased Access to Essential Care: The Clackamas Free Clinic provides free, volunteer-driven healthcare to individuals who might otherwise go without - addressing critical needs like chronic disease management and prevention. We support underserved members of the community (uninsured, low-income, or those facing barriers to traditional healthcare) ensuring equitable access to care. 

Powered by Volunteers & Students: Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers work alongside students to provide compassionate care while building the future of the healthcare workforce. 
   

Community Health Improvement: By offering preventive care and early interventions, the clinic helps reduce emergency room visits and hospitalizations, improving overall health outcomes and preventing unnecessary medical debt.

At the heart of Volunteers in Medicine is the Culture of Caring. We hope we can begin healing some of the injuries and health disparities caused by bias, prejudice, inequitable treatment, poverty, discrimination, and indifference. Partnership for Safety and Justice - Transforming society’s response to crime through innovative solutions that ensure accountability, equity, and healing.

Portland Community Football Club - Provides access to high-quality, affordable club soccer for low-income and underrepresented youth, ages 6- 18, including LGBTQIA+, Black, Brown, Latino/a/e, immigrants, and refugees.

Raices de Bienestar - Improve and strengthen the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the Latine community through culturally-grounded clinical services, community programs, training and education. 

Project Access NOW - partners with community to create equitable access to whole person care and social services and to advocate for systemic change.

We're located on campus at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, OR.
