Mission

Our mission is to improve and strengthen the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the Latine community through culturally-grounded clinical services, community programs, training and education. 

Bottom Line for Portland

Raíces fills a critical need for culturally-specific, community-centered mental health & healing services for the Latine community. The 2023- 2024 fiscal year, we served over 5000 Latine community members with our trauma-informed programs & mental health services.  The majority of our participants are monolingual Spanish speaking and first generation immigrants. We focus on improving mental health equitably and “bringing mental health to the people” through mobile mental health, telehealth services, and community education.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Raíces is a mental health non-profit for the Latine community,  by the Latine community, with the Latine community. All our clinical services and programs are provided in Spanish and lead by bi-lingual, bi-cultural clinicians and traditional health workers. We are guided by a 100% Latine community advisory board, 90% of our staff are Latine, and 60% of our Board are Latine.
