Columbia Slough Watershed Council

Mission

To protect and enhance the Columbia Slough and its watershed through free community engagement, education, and restoration.

Bottom Line for Portland

Through strong community partnerships and engagement, CSWC provides FREE programming throughout the year, including 99 free community events serving 1,887 people, stewardship events installing 5,034 native plants. Slough School Environmental Education provided free environmental education to 5,120 student contacts at Title 1 schools, with 159 classroom lessons, 60 field trips and 25 paddle trips. This programming is unique and not offered elsewhere in the Portland Metro area. We intentionally partner with schools and organizations that reflect the watershed’s diverse community.
